Hi, I’m producer, engineer, mixer and guitarist Tom Beaujour and this is my studio, Nuthouse Recording.
I’m located in the North Room of the legendary Water Music complex in Hoboken, New Jersey. The studio is packed with cool gear that I’ve accumulated over the years, and the spacious live room boasts 20-foot ceilings that yield truly excellent drum sounds.
I fully appreciate the trust you’re putting in me if you bring your project to Nuthouse, and I promise to do everything within my power to make sure that you leave here feeling like you’ve realized your vision and had a great time doing it to boot.
At Nuthouse Recording, we want to capture great takes with a great sound at every session. We have tailored our environment and workflow to inspire confidence and creativity, and our topflight gear ensures that almost any sound you can imagine can quickly become a reality. Our spacious live room and two isolation areas can accommodate almost any size group or project with elbow room to spare.
If your project is already recorded and needs to be mixed, we would love to talk to you about it. Our integration of the choice plug-ins with analog outboard gear and summing enable us to take a best-of-both-worlds approach when we mix your project. You’ll get all of the warmth of analog but still enjoy the flexibility, editing capabilities and easy recall that we’ve all come to expect in the digital age.
We understand that different projects have different needs, and we are happy to get as involved as you need and want us to be with your project. From preproduction and arrangement assistance to cowriting and contracting the right group of musicians, we will create a team custom tailored to your music, goals, and budget.
We have a proven track record recording and mixing live performances by such groups as Cults, The Rapture, Against Me!, Anna Calvi, Phoenix, Florence and the Machine, Surfer Blood, the Joy Formidable, and many more.
